Our Itinerary Has Changed...

We found out just yesterday that we will be staying in Johannesburg for four days, instead of two. While we're there we will be guests of the South Africans, as well as having this portion of our trip sponsored. That's pretty good news on two fronts, as it means we'll get to see a little bit more of Johannesburg, while having it covered. What it amounts to is that they like us so much, they're paying to keep us around.
Since I am about to jump out of my skin over this trip, I thought I'd give you all a preview of what's sure to come...

Where I'm going

Due to an outpouring of demand, I am revealing my destinations.
They are:
South Africa (2 day stay) and Swaziland (the rest of the time).

Here's an addendum to this post. It has some links that you can check to learn a little more about the world you are living in. Links that are specific to Swaziland, at least.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swaziland
http://www.gov.sz/ (the OFFICIAL government page)

https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/wz.html (this is the page provided by our own CIA. This is your tax dollars hard at work)

This is just a test...

To anyone who has just arrived at this site, I would like to extend a warm hello. Grab a chair, pour a cup of coffee or tea, and get ready to spend most of your waking time reading this, my first web log. Or blog.
I will be posting to this site daily, which I guess is the idea, circumstances permitting. I will hopefully be taking some great pictures with a shiny new camera that I will try to keep away from animals that like those things. Hopefully, some great pictures and stories will emerge from these efforts.
I will leave for the dark continent on the 9th of August, to return on the 27th, so tune in around the 10th or 11th for the inaugural posting(s)!
